Welcome to The Institute for Research on Origins!  IRO was founded in 2008 by Missions Service Corps Missionary Robert Martin, as a way to shed light on the question of origins.  As Walter Martin, founder of the Christian Research Institute used to say...there is much heat being generated in this debate, but not enough light.   It is our purpose and mission to show the logical inconsistencies surrounding the teaching of evolution as an explanation for the existence of all living things.  At IRO, we will explain the difference between evolution that really does occur in nature, and evolution which has been called "a fairy tale for grownups".  There is a big difference between the two.  

 In 1859, Darwin published his watershed work "The Origin of Species".   Since then, the teaching of evolution as fact has permeated societies around the world, and is now taken for granted as "the truth" on origins throughout academia.  At IRO we believe the teaching of evolution as the origin of species is illogical, and could rightly be called academia's "creation myth".  Evolution does occur; the question is, does that evolutionary process explain the origin of all living things, or is it merely a process of adaptation and variation which was put into place by the Creator?  We believe the latter, and we believe all good science points that direction.  We believe there is one God, Creator of all, and as Romans chapter one explains, it should be clear that all of the complexity we see around us didn't just pop into existence out of nothing. 

IRO's goal is to partner with the local church by being a resource to pastors, student ministry leaders, and other groups interested in hearing the truth on origins.  Our presentaion will prove the theory of evolution is unscientific, and will make a strong case for Biblical Creation .   If you would like more information about having Robert come and present the clear, unadulturated truth on origins with your church or small group, please don't hesitate to email IRO at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
